The purpose of the Friends of
the St. Paul Farmers' Market is to cause the establishment of an expanded
downtown market in St. Paul that would operate twelve months of the year with an
outdoor/indoor facility within a larger market district. If you can help us grow,
you will make it possible to:
Perpetuate the nearly 150-year tradition of the St. Paul Farmers' Market
Facilitate the building of a new expanded shed facility
Upgrade the Market to be more user friendly with wider aisles, upgraded electrical and improved restrooms
Create an indoor Market Hall where you can shop for an expanded line of local products all year round
See that this great food resource flourishes and grows in the Lowertown neighborhood
The Friends of the St. Paul
Farmers' Market is a non-profit organization established in 1997 to provide
financial support for the investigation of the feasibility, design, contractual,
organizational and fund-raising work necessary to enable the development of a
new regional outdoor/indoor year-round farmers' market in downtown St. Paul for
the use of the local growers, vendors, and Twin Citians; to enhance business
opportunities in St. Paul's urban core; and to contribute to the city's urban
vitality. Friends of the St. Paul Farmers' Market will provide financial assistance to facilitate and assist the
conduct of community, cultural, educational, recreational, public and civic
events in and around the market once constructed.
